If you have a passion for helping children and families apply now! As a caseworker you will be providing protective and supportive services for abused and/or neglected children within Fayette County.

The position is responsible for investigating reports of mistreatment and abuse of children and provides for the safety of those children. This position is responsible for completing data entry to maintain case documentation for case records.

Provide crisis intervention where appropriate, assuming on-call duties and responsibilities on a rotational basis. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Completion of training and Caseworker Certification is required to be completed after employment begins.

Work Hours: 8:30 am -4:30 pm (M-F) witha1 hourlunch

Travel, overtime, after hours work and on-call is mandatory

After the completion of eighteen (18) months, the employee will earn County Caseworker 2 certification with an annual salary of $42,451.

Qualifications:

  • PA residency requirementis currently waived for this title.

  • Hiring Preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Fayette County. If no eligible candidates who live within Fayette County apply for this position, candidates who reside in Washington, Westmoreland, Greene or Somerset counties will be considered.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

VIEW JOBS 1/14/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-04-14T00:00 Fayette County Behavioral Health Administration has an immediate need for a County Care Management Manager.  Our mission is to enrich lives by providing choice and access to resources that encourage hope, independence, and recovery.  A County Care Management Manager gathers necessary demographic and clinical information by telephone to authorize and make appropriate referrals to consumers in need of psychiatric and behavioral services provided by a mental health professional, or in need of drug and alcohol treatment services provided by a drug and alcohol addictions professional.  Duties involve providing consumers with information regarding benefits, treatment options, the managed care system, and community resources; maintaining accurate documentation of all data in automated system and client records; reviewing and evaluating the medical appropriateness of psychiatric/behavioral health and substance abuse cases and, in consultation with supervisor, rendering a certification decision.  Duties also involve serving as an advocate for consumers and families; facilitating coordination of care with other care managers; completing referral and case documentation in accordance with program standards; conducting follow-up of referrals with consumers and providers of service and participating in customer service assessment activities; preparing required reports as mandated by federal, state or county policies and procedures; and participating in clinical rounds, seminars, and training sessions to maintain licensure and clinical credentials.  Work is performed under the direction of an administrative supervisor and is reviewed through conferences and reports. * Full-time employment. * Work hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with 30 minute lunch.  Qualifications: * Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A master's degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or counseling and two years of professional mental health clinical experience; OR Two years of professional mental health clinical experience and possession of an active license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. * Necessary Special Requirement: All positions require an active license issued by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs in one of the following areas: * Social Work * 20001-Social Worker * 20010-Clinical Social Worker * 20020-Marrage and Family Therapist * 20030-Professional Counselor * Psychology * 26001-Psychologist * Nursing * 18001-Registered Nurse * 18040-Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner * 18170-Clinical Nurse Specialist * Must meet PA residency requirement - For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency. * Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Fayette County.
