What the role is
Join our team to create and offer world-class coworking and community to Selina's ecosystem of digital nomads, guests and locals all coming together in one space.
The Country People Manager is responsible for all country HR processes and employee requests within the employee lifecycle, ensuring that high quality is provided to all employees and internal stakeholders in line with the People SOPs.
What you will be doing
Hiring: Hiring Procedure (not Recruitment), ie: agreements
Training:
Support new employees with access to tools, policies and mandatory training required for the position.
Provide new employees with onboarding information
Comp&Ben:
Document and report payroll incidences
Support Comp&Ben with Salary Ranges
Employee Benefits administration
Employee Holiday Time Off administration
Legal:
Contracts templates and mandatory notices
Ensure legal compliance with local labor laws according to Selina's internal politics and the Country HR guidance (ie Handbook)
Audit of expired contracts
Work-related accident process
HRIS:
Ensure all employee data is up to date and recorded in corresponding systems.
Assign and register BambooHR Country Legal Labor Leaves
Ensure Job Catalog Country and Location implementation
Support BambooHR Reports
Terminations:
Ensure all terminations are appropriately documented and supported according to the official HR templates and guides
Follow up with the exit Interview process
Locations:
Overview and supervise Locations HR procedures
Creates sustained solutions to individual and business challenges ie:
Tier-1 questions from employees related to basic HR issues according to Selina's internal policies and Country HR guidance.
Weekly / Monthly meetings and training with Location's HR Accounting Supervisor
Monitor Location administration to establish standards and procedures. Identify opportunities for improvement and resolve any discrepancies.
What you need for the role
Degree within the subject of Travel, Tourism, or Management desired but not required.
Prior experience within the Cowork, Digital Nomad, Travel industry.
Preferable experience in a leadership position within a renowned Cowork Operator
Prior experience in a business with multi-location points of sale.
Solid commercial and strategic planning skills.
A natural community builder with a passion for connecting people.
Strong written and oral skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
Deep knowledge of Selina's target audience.
Strong work ethic, proactively manages multiple high priority projects and works effectively executing cross-departmental initiatives.
Languages: Fluent English and Spanish
