The Office of Student Affairs is seeking a part-time Counselor/Social Worker and Referral Coordinator. This new position will assist in developing and providing counseling services for on-site and remote students.
This is a Part-time position working 7 hours per week.

Provide triage assessment, brief treatment (individual or group therapy), and crisis intervention services to MUIH students, on campus and via electronic means for students located at a distance.
Provide prevention, training and outreach programs to enhance students' resilience, self-efficacy and care for self and others.
Serve on the Behavioral Intervention Team in a consultant role.
Provide consultation for students, faculty and staff seeking advice focused on addressing MUIH student needs.
Coordinate referrals between MUIH counseling services and community service providers for students with significant or long-term needs.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal law, professional ethics and MUIH policies.
Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of MUIH counseling services.
Collaborate with campus partners, as applicable, to support student/community well-being and success.
Education and Experience Qualifications
Master's degree in relevant field
Maryland State current Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Certified Social Worker Clinical (LCSW-C), or Licensed Psychologist
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with diverse populations
Experience providing mental health or support services within a University setting
Experience with consultation and outreach
Experience with behavioral intervention and/or threat assessment teams
