Counselors, College And Career Readiness (Temporary/Grant Funded)

BASIC FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the Director of Student Services serves as Educationally Related Mental Health Counselor to students from Preschool through 12th grade.

Evaluates needs of children within the educational system or school, plans and carries out programs to enable children to attain maximum achievement. Applies scientific principles in assessment of intellectual abilities, characteristics, and behavior to ameliorate school-related problems and to facilitate the learning, behavior, and development of students by providing services and interventions to students, teachers, parents, and community agencies

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduate level training pupil personnel, child welfare, or family counseling.

Three years classroom teaching or counseling (professional or internship). Experience in master scheduling preferred. Experience working in Career Technical Education programs and/or Regional Occupational Programs, or College and Career Guidance programs desired.
