A valid Pupil Personnel Service Credential is required. Please review the job description for a complete list of skills and responsibilities. •Knowledge of current trends/methods in counseling; •Current knowledge of college requirements, both public and private; •Knowledge of, and commitment to, the case management model; •Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with community agency and social service staff; •Willingness to meet with students and parents outside of the school day for special programs related to counseling services, i.e. college nights, new parent orientation, etc; •Knowledge of, and experience with, peer resource programs preferred; •Experience with transitional programs (eighth to ninth grades) preferred; •Demonstrated ability to organize delivery systems efficiently and effectively; •Ability and desire to contribute to development of the counseling program; •Ability to use computers to access student information and perform word processing tasks; •Experience in facilitating groups, especially with at-risk students; •Knowledge of career counseling materials and strategies.
