Technical Competencies: Strong skills in D&A and mental health treatment. A working knowledge of HIPAA, Licensing, and CARF regulations. Valid Drivers License.

Provide direct service to wide variety of program participants in the specialized areas of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (ATOD) education and prevention. Provide direct service to clients in the specialized areas of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (ATOD) treatment. Requires a knowledge of the overall field of education, prevention principles, drug and alcohol treatment and relapse prevention community needs, policies and procedures, reporting and documentation of services in line with contractual and agency requirements. Represents the agency at programs, meetings and training sessions involving the general public, professionals, teachers, and other agencies. Demonstrates professionalism, leadership, confidentiality, strong social communication skills, time-management, organized. Must possess skills to communicate effectively and interact well with people of diverse backgrounds. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information, working well in an individual/ group problem solving situation, and showing initiative in problem solving. Maintains professionalism and does not show favoritism. Maintains consistency with clients, staff, visitors, and the public. Ability to handle a crisis situation and react appropriately. Bachelors degree with a major course in the social services of psychology or related field plus experience in a therapeutic care, treatment and rehabilitation drug and/or alcohol program or similar social service or mental health program. Drug and Alcohol/ Mental Health experience.
