Diakon Family Life Services offers a range of counseling and behavioral health services to children, teens, families and adult individuals. Services are provided through counseling centers in Mechanicsburg, New Bloomfield, Lewisburg, Montoursville and Williamsport as well as within several public-school buildings. Specialized programs include family-based mental health services, provided in the community and in-home, addictions counseling, trauma-focused therapy and SPIN, a service designed to assist children and youths who have problematic sexual behaviors.


General Responsibilities:


Responsible for developing and maintaining a professional and supportive relationship with youth and their families as well as providing specialized therapeutic interventions. Enhances support and conducts counseling sessions with youth, birth families, referring personnel, treatment providers, and others involved in the lives of children and youth.

Provides individual, couple, family and/or group therapy sessions Works cooperatively with case managers and other treatment providers to meet needs and goals, as established in the Treatment Plan. Childline # DHS FBI clearance results are required prior to beginning employment. # Education/Training: A Masters in human services required.


Experience:


A minimum of one (1) year of experience in related positions normally required.


ADA:


Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
