Counselor I or Counselor II

Full Time
Primary Responsibilities
Provide individual and group counseling, both in-person and via Telehealth options
Provide on-call duties for walk-in emergency services
Complete and maintain documentation (including intakes and treatment plans) in a timely and accurate manner
Develop and present educational outreach programs for students, faculty, and staff on psycho-educational topics
Provide consultation services for Southeast campus community
Participate and serve as a "Crisis Coordinator on Call" for the University's Crisis Response Team
Participate in University retention efforts including Orientation programs, Opening Week activities, and other outreach events
Attend weekly clinical staff meetings and scheduled work retreats
Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work
Counselor I: Eligibility for Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Clinical Social Worker or in the state of Missouri
Counselor II: Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri; and eligibility to provide clinical supervision for graduate practicum and internship students
Demonstrated ability/experience working with technology needed to provide telehealth services and develop outreach programs that can be delivered both in-person and in online formats
Demonstrated outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated clinical experience with two or more college mental health issues including eating disorders, developmental/adjustment issues, sexual violence, substance use, anxiety, depression, or sexual orientation
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and evidence of a team orientation
Demonstrated ability to motivate others and elicit creative problems solving skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential records, adherence to ethical standards, and produce written reports in a timely manner
Demonstrated ability to work nights/weekends
Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
