Job Summary

The counselor will be assigned to John Muir to focus on academic and behavioral intervention services and support the implementation of the Multi-tiered Integrated Support System (MIISS). This position involves supporting John Muir's community school program ensuring resources, community services, extended learning programs, and family support programs are coordinated and implemented through collaborating with school staff and partners. The counselor will play an active role in facilitating and supporting SST/COST/504 meetings and programs. This position will provide direct support to students and provide coordination of community services with specific focus on: -Provide intervention services that are centered around executive function support, socio-emotional learning

• Foster relationships with community organizations and service providers to coordinate resources and support for students and their families

• Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement and monitor multi-tiered intervention systems for students experiencing academic or behavioral challenges

• Collaborate with Community School Teachers and COST Coordinator to provide holistic support to students As part of the interview, applicants will be required to submit written responses to three constructed prompts and prepare a 10 minute presentation on a proposal of a social emotional student lunch learning program.
