This is a tenure-track faculty appointment in the University Counseling Center. Salary is competitive and commensurate with academic preparation and experience. An excellent fringe benefits package is included.
The Psychologist/Counselor reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs and is responsible for counseling, psychotherapy, psychological assessment, group counseling, intake interviewing, emergency intervention, outreach, and supervision.
The successful candidate must be capable of and committed to student counseling, campus outreach, and scholarship. Successful candidate will also have experience working with diverse populations. Additional responsibilities include involvement with divisional, departmental, and/or other campus committees.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Develop programs related to the psychological needs of students, including outreach.
Provide consultation to members of the campus community as appropriate.
Consult with other Counseling Center faculty concerning cases and referrals.
Facilitate referrals to other campus services and local agencies, such as community and mental health agencies.
Conduct institutional research regarding Counseling Center activities.
