As a seasoned practitioner provide the highest quality of direct counseling services, consultation to ecclesiastical leaders, community resource development and referral, and support to other staff, while working under minimal supervision. As approved, provide exemplary program supervision, ecclesiastical outreach, and professional training to other staff. Provide quality customer service and comply with policy, licensing requirements, and professional standards of practice.


Time in each responsibility will vary dependent upon location.

1.Provide the highest quality of direct clinical care with minimal supervision

2.Provide the highest quality of consultation, and develop and maintain positive relationships with church leaders

3.Ensure legal, ethical and policy compliance

4.Evaluate and identify area needs, and develop community resources

5.Responsible for own continued professional development and serve as mentor for other staff as invited

6.Protects and ensures client confidentiality

7.Develop and fulfill 'whole area service plan', including traveling to outlying areas and overnight as needed, working evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

8.As assigned, provide clinical and or agency supervision to Counselors 1 and 2 and Interns.


    1. Masters' degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology or related degree that leads to clinical licensure

2.Hold and maintain current independent clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or other clinical licensure)

3.Minimum of 5 years post masters' professional experience including 3 years post independent licensure. One year of post independent licensure may be replaced by NOJOS and DOC Credentialing for Sexual Abuse Treatment TEAM (SATT).

4.Ability to provide clinical supervision of others pursuing clinical licensure

5.Demonstrate advanced clinical skills and receptiveness to feedback.

6.Current employees must have 'met' or 'exceeded' expectations in the previous three years' year-end evaluations (Results)

7.Current employees must have rated as 'proficient' or higher in the previous two years' year end evaluation (Behavior and Leadership)

8.LDS Family Services Executive Council approval

Worthiness Qualification

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.

Unit/Position Summary Each women's pregnancy is a special occasion for the family. Ensuring the health of the woman and her unborn child are of utmost importance. We support the care team to provide the personal touch each family desires and the outstanding medical care they deserve. We focus on providing excellent patient centered care, achieved through education, expertise and teamwork in a safe and positive environment of our patients, their families and ourselves. The Nampa Family Birth Center has a unique model of care. Its focus on Family Centered Care allows families to remain with their child, even if the infant requires specialized neonatal care. In the NICU, newborns receive care by specially trained, board certified Neonatologists. This care can be provided alongside mothers or in the private neonatal intensive care unit rooms. Family Care Suites, where mothers and their infant are cared for together, include accommodations for those newborns who require a higher level of neonatal care by the Newborn Intensive Care team. If the infant requires a longer hospital stay than their mother, the parents and newborns will easily transition to private neonatal rooms which include a guest bed and private bathroom The Women's Services & NICU unit consists of : 14 LDRP rooms, 7 Family Care Suites [integrated NICU], 8 NICU beds (total 15 NICU beds including family suites), 2 OR's, and 4 Triage rooms Responsibilities * Accountable for achieving evidence-based protocols, harm index, HCAPS, readmissions, throughput targets, length of stay, avoidable days, vacancy, turnover, retention, direct report rounding, productivity, overtime, expense targets, work place safety and staff engagement performance metrics. * Provides increased leadership visibility through actively engaging in real-time patient rounding, to support coaching and mentoring of the patient care team. * Determines the appropriate staff mix to ensure adequate resources are available to meet patient care needs, to include: hiring, backfill and training of staff. * Develops staff and creates a culture of transparency, openness and support. * Initiate and foster continuous improvement within the department(s). Identify and resolve patient/customer satisfaction issues and complaints. * Identifies opportunities for improved financial performance, implements strategies to reduce costs and improve the quality of care/service and maintain a safe work environment. * Ensure compliance with regulations governing hospitals/area/service and practice/area/ service. Ensure that policy, procedures and standards are developed, implemented and maintained. * Communicates program priorities, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent patient experience and optimal outcomes. * Participates in establishing and maintaining communication between ancillary departments, physicians, nursing personnel and other health care professions. * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
