Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Counseling Center, this position plans develops, and administers two grant projects focusing on suicide prevention and mental health services funded by SAMHSA and Office of the Secretary of Higher Education. The position implements and coordinates activities of the grants, manages the budgets and expenditures, completes data collection and reporting, and conducts assessment and evaluation to meet the goals of each grant program. This position works directly with the project partners, external community and government agencies to support the development of infrastructure and to meet project goals.
This position will also work closely with the Director of the Counseling Center as well as the Prevention Education Coordinator to schedule and conduct activities which meet the goals of the programs. This position works 40 hours a week, and is contingent upon continued funding.

Grant Funding:
Staff Duration: Full Time 12 months
1.Responsible for all activities and services to educate and provide outreach for the purposes of both grants; ensures compliance with the funder's program requirements; works collaboratively with program staff; periodically conducts participant needs and outcomes assessments to determine program effectiveness.
2.Cultivates relationships and develops referral network with college departments, county and state social service providers, community organizations, etc. to support the program and community education programs.
3.Researches, interviews, schedules and organizes speakers and training programs to meet both grant goals.
4.In collaboration with College Relations implements marketing campaigns and develops materials, flyers, program literature for community services.
5.Serves as primary contact and liaison between the grant programs and the internal and external partners. Acts as primary liaison between the state and federal funders and Counseling Center.
6.Manages the Advisory Coalition, which consists of internal and external partners.
7.Maintains and updates files and documentation as outlined by the grant; prepares and completes all reporting requirements accurately and on schedule to fulfill funders and departments requirements.
8. Provides assistance to the Director in establishing and monitoring the budgetary requirements and expenditures of the program; maintains appropriate financial records; and explores sources of external funding, donations of equipment and services, and other grants. Works closely with Accounting, Grants Office and Director to adhere to OCC and grant funder policies.
9.Serves as the Project Representative at internal and external events.Plans and coordinates the annual regional suicide conference and training seminars; handles all administrative responsibilities.
2.Minimum of three years relevant client service experience of which at least two years involved providing direct client services related to one or more education or social service programs
3.Proven experience with project management, including planning and implementing activities.
3. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills including delivery of presentations and materials to individuals and groups.
4.Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and a database platform and the ability to create standard and new reports, professional documents and correspondences.
5.Demonstrated cultural competence and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, ability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff.1. Master's Degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, Human Services.
2.Prior experience working on grant funded projects and handling budgets and expenses.
3.Prior experience in suicide prevention initiatives or mental health education outreach.
4.Demonstrated evidence in accomplishing program goals.
