Group/Division

The Legal Compliance Organization (LCO) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA provides legal guidance to further KLA's strategic objectives and protect and preserve the legal, ethical and financial integrity and reputation of the Company. With specific expertise in the areas of corporate law, commercial law, employment law, and intellectual property; the LCO offers strategic legal counsel that is informed by a clear understanding of the company's business objectives and expertise in the laws and regulations relevant to the business worldwide.

We are looking for a self-motivated employment lawyer to join its busy legal team in supporting a growing global business. This position will report to the Associate General Counsel, Global Employment Law, but operate with substantial independence. The primary responsibility will be to provide pragmatic advice & counsel in a timely & responsive manner on a broad range of employment law issues. Responsibilities will include:

  • Guiding compliance with federal, state, & local laws

  • Developing, improving, & implementing policies, plans, & practices

  • Staying on top of employment-related legal developments & engaging proactively to drive compliance & implement risk-mitigating strategies

  • Reviewing & drafting contracts & various employment documentation

  • Driving & supporting designated projects & workplace initiatives

  • Building & delivering training programs

  • Guiding internal investigations

  • Managing litigation

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-house experience

  • Experience working directly with managers & executives

  • Experience working with a tech company

  • Litigation experience

  • Global employment law experience

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Professional) with at least 5 years of experience.
