The Opportunity

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, Commercial Contracts, the Counsel, Commercial Contracts will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to the staff and management of QVC, Inc., HSN, Inc., and their affiliates with respect to a wide variety of commercial contracts. The person in this role will be expected to exercise independent judgement under the supervision of more senior attorneys according to company policy and law.

• This role is hybrid-remote and based in West Chester, PA.

Your Impact

• Draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts and other documents

• Provide advice on legal issues to staff and management

• Carry out Legal Department management initiatives

• Identify potential legal issues related to business practices and policies and advise staff and management

• Other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned

What you Bring

• 5+ years of relatable experience

• J.D. degree required

• Bar Admission (Pennsylvania) or in-house counsel license required

• Solid draftsperson, analyst, negotiator, and presenter of legal points; drafts and negotiates routine documents unaided and more complex documents with guidance from more senior lawyers

• Handles routine tasks with minimal supervision but is supervised by more senior lawyers for highly complex matters

• Provides creative and innovative approach to conceptualizing ideas and problem solving

• Performs responsibilities of a full-service in-house counsel, interacting with all levels of internal and external counsel and other subject matter experts as needed

• Exhibits excellent people skills and sound judgment

• Works well in a fast-paced environment

• Balances legal risk and business needs

• Well-respected and seen as trusted advisor by staff and management

• Possesses solid knowledge of QVC and HSN corporate direction and strategic business values

• Possesses ability to interpret and apply concepts based on law, company policy and procedure

• Able to accurately convey detailed, important, complex information to staff and management
