The Counsel, Business & Legal Affairs, will oversee all production-related legal work for the DreamWorks TV division of NBCUniversal's Digital Enterprises organization. Primary job duties involve negotiating and drafting contracts relating to the production of animated and live action short-form children's content for the DreamWorks TV channels on social media and other digital platforms.
Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret contracts and other documents, including primarily agreements relating to the production of "digital first" and "digital derivative" programming.
Advise and coordinate with creative executives, production risk attorneys and others to identify and resolve business and legal issues and provide ongoing counsel, advice and support, with a focus on the production of "digital first" programming.
Partner with NBCU business executives to discuss and implement best practices and formulate new processes in connection with evolving business needs.
Create and update forms.
Other matters at the direction of the Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs.
Member of a state bar in good standing
A minimum of 2 years of entertainment and/or intellectual property expertise, with specific experience handling production legal work.
Minimum 3 years of law experience either in-house or at a firm
