We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Cost & Planning Analyst within our Onshore Resources & Carbon Management business unit in Midland, TX.

This position is responsible for providing cost control support to the Department and ensuring that project costs are accurate, traceable, and are paid in a timely manner while interacting with the Accounting, Audit, and SCM Departments to perform billing tracking, and receivable procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coding, tracking and vendor interfacing for all Department invoices, paper and electronic, to ensure approval for payment in a timely manner.

• Responsible for matching delivery tickets to invoices and reviewing for accuracy.

• Responsible for matching invoices to contract terms and pricing and ensuring accuracy of the invoices Including all contracted man camps. (reservation reporting, HR notifications, generate IDs for contractor)

• Responsible for tracking all Oxy owned equipment by category and location for NM and/or TX and assist Finance team in equipment audits as necessary.

• Responsible for time confirming though SAP database all Oxy owned equipment utilized in NM and/or TX

• Communicate with engineers, FB specialists, and vendors to compile daily event reports for each well

• Meticulously track Flowback equipment usage, manpower, and costs in Open Wells, cross-referencing with Power BI-ORCM Flowback Cost Tracking Tool for data consistency.

• Perform material reconciliation for tangible items by confirming all Material Transfers are completed and accurate as they apply to operations

• Prepares reports and forms as required by Department using Company standard software.

• Responsible for consolidating monthly expenses by asset

• Financial reporting and analysis of SAP database

• Works with Contract Engineer, SCM Specialist, and Vendor Contract manager to ensure accurate pricing and payment of invoicing as per contract terms.

• Responsible for weekly updates to Department AFE list

• Participates on Project Teams as needed

• Accountable for assisting in the creation of annual and long-term business plans

• Coordinate the monthly production outlook update with asset teams and present to Business Unit Management

• Provide financial support as needed to assist in the preparation of monthly management reports and outlooks, including the Execution Report

• Assist in the preparation and/or review of capital project requests for the corporate Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) system, as well as individual project expenditure requests; collaborate with technical staff on the economic evaluation and justification for the projects

• Assist with special projects, including scenario evaluations to understand capital and production impacts, project economic and financial evaluations, presentations for Business Unit Management, and cross-functional project support

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business/economics, engineering/science or related discipline and/or 4 years relevant experience

• Ability to interact effectively with team members and other personnel at various levels of responsibility and to handle a variety of roles within a multidisciplinary team

• Capable of handling multiple assignments, setting priorities and delivering results under time constraints and at times with limited data

• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be adaptable, self-motivated with a strong work ethic, and demonstrate a willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines

• Demonstrated knowledge of electronic invoicing system

• Working knowledge of Oxy's accounting process & systems including SAP

• Ability to research and analyze cost control mechanisms

• Knowledgeable in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various software

• Ability to work accurately under pressure
