The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Cost Management Analyst to join our team. The Cost Management Analyst will prepare, audit, and analyze a wide variety of cost and performance data to assure conformity with established Program Management Information System (PMIS) and Program Management Professional (PMP) procedures. The analyst researches, provides, and advises internal and external customers with information needed to manage research and development programs. In addition, the analyst supports the monthly forecast cycle which involves processing budget, earned value, actuals, estimates to complete invoices, and reports along with analyzing variances for Summary Account Managers, Program Office/Contracts, upper management, and external customers.

Job Duties:

  • Supports the monthly forecast cycle which involves processing budget, earned value, actuals, and estimates to complete and analyzing variances for Summary Account Managers, Program Office/Contracts, upper management, and external customers in support of each month's performance measurement baseline

  • Maintains the Program Management Information System (PMIS) which involves assisting Summary Account Managers in developing and maintaining budget baselines while protecting the PMIS and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements. This task also includes assisting Program Office/Contracts in the preparation of release documents.

  • Assists both internal and external customers as required.

  • Maintains all financial data in the Cost Management software which allows for the gathering of enterprise level data for various analyses such as manpower, business planning, and cash flow.

  • Maintains the interface between the Cost Management software and the enterprise level software which allows for proper allocation of costs to direct projects.

  • Monitors the integrity of the general ledger information, the cost accumulation reports, and the Cost Management software information and initiates any corrective actions necessary.

  • Audits purchase orders, purchases requisitions and inventory for conformity with current budget assumptions.

  • Prepares a variety of graphs, charts and tables to be used as management indicators in analysis and planning.

  • Assists in preparation of proposal data when required, especially in the area of cost justification.

  • Provides a wide variety of simple analyses in support of internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 1-3 years of Experience

  • PMP is preferred

  • Work involves practical job knowledge and skill gained through prior work experience in such areas as business administration, financial analysis, cost accounting, project control or program analysis

  • Good communication, adaptability, collaboration, and ability to function effectively in a team setting are critical

  • Excellent critical thinking and analytically oriented mindset with a grasp of accounting, finance, and project management principles

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and database systems

  • U. S. citizenship is required

  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S.
