The Cost Analyst will support a Government research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) organization and be responsible for creating and editing program cost estimates. Position is full time for at least six months; the customer's workload will determine if it continues longer in either a full or part time basis.


  • Prepare and review program cost estimates using the ACEIT cost estimating software.

  • Develop and review cost benefit analyses and other budgetary documentation.

  • Work as part of a team to provide cost and analysis products to customers.


  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to be awarded a DoD Secret Clearance.

  • Must have an AA degree and 7 years' experience in government cost estimating including at least 2 years using the ACEIT software to provide Day 1 effective support. Candidates with a high school diploma or a bachelor's degree will require more or less experience, respectively.

  • Must be proficient with ACEIT, MS Office products (e.g., MS Word and Excel) and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

The DA will take responsibility for managing our master data set, developing reports and metrics, as well as troubleshooting data issues. To succeed in this role, the candidate should have a natural analytical way of thinking, experience as a data analyst, and deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases. Duties & Responsibilities * Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion. * Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines. * Collecting and interpreting data * Analyzing results * Generating reports from single or multiple systems. * Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports. * Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business * Identifying patterns and trends in data sets * Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs * Defining new data collection and analysis processes * Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization. * Training end users on new reports and dashboards. * Providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing. The Individual * Bachelor's degree or equivalent * At least 3 years of work experience as a data analyst or in related field * Analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving * Ability to write comprehensive reports * Must be decisive, organized and interact well in a team environment * Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks * Ability to manage multiple task and a wide range of activities * Self-motivated and proactive ability to meet business needs * Strong ability to handle stressful situations when working under pressure and strict deadlines * Excellent oral and written communication skills Preferred Skills: * Degree in the following: Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics/Economics * Software: Microsoft Office (Expert/Advanced level: Excel, Access, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Visio. * Programming Languages (VBA) and Database knowledge (SQL) * Substantiated knowledge in SAP Other Requirements: * Fluent in English Diversity & Inclusion We believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
