Due to expediential growth our client is seeking Senior Cost Accounting Manager! MUST HAVE Manufacturing experience.

This position will support Controller to ensure that costs for the company?s manufactured parts and services are allocated according to corporate procedures and in compliance financial accounting standards. Oversee the cost of control systems, manage and interpret cost audits, and prepare cost accounting reports to present to leadership. Responsible for General ledger account analysis and account reconciliations.

Must have demonstrated leadership traits in motivation and giving support to accounting team. Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance and or business. CPA preferred.

Location is close to uptown Charlotte (only local candidates please). Ability to multi-task, juggling multiple internal and external constituents, and maintain patience in demanding situations. Responsibilities: * Manage engagements for federal tax consulting services including design and implementation of projects related to accounting method assessments, revenue and expense recognition, capitalized items, fixed assets, inventories and tax reform * Communicate directly with client personnel, including operations, finance, accounting, and engineering * Manage and implement multiple projects simultaneously, which include client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering and coordination of KPMG and client resources * Assist with drafting opinion letters, responses to IRS inquiries, IRS ruling requests and writing other technical memoranda * Develop and sustain excellent client relationships and assist in business development effort Qualifications: * A minimum of five years of experience in a public accounting firm or corporate taxation experience, including experience in accounting methods and credit services * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university * Licensed CPA or J.D./LL.M.
