GENERAL FUNCTION: In collaboration with the Finance/Accounting Department, the Revenue Accountant is responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Account for all aspects of monthly invoicing and billing processes

• Review revenue postings in accounting system for accuracy

• Set weekly meetings with Finance Manager to review aging reports or any issues with accounts receivable

• Examine revenue for missing data in advance of AR closing

• Prepare accruals and reconcile assigned revenue GL accounts, and other relevant journal entries necessary in support of month-end close

• Track cash collections to meet Company's monthly and quarterly targets

• Ensure reports, postings, reconciliations and customer payments processed are compliant with internal controls and procedures

• Review customer billings for Government and Non-Government customers to guarantee alignment with the CLIN structures of contracts

• This position reports directly to the Finance Manager.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other relevant coursework

• 1-2 years of pertinent accounting experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite particularly Excel

• Strong time management, analytical and communication skills

• Experience in Great Plains a plus

• Experience in SAP S-4/HANA a plus

• Familiarity with government contracting a plus
