Job Summary:

We are searching for someone to join our team as a Cost Accountant and are specifically looking for someone who has had previous experience in this field. You will perform accounting work that may be moderately complex and difficult and will carry out assignments and deal with plans, schedules, and forecasts.
Essential Functions:
Analyze costs incurred in operations to ensure accuracy and maintain records and databases for cost reporting purposes
Maintain Percentage of Completion models and job-cost tracking system for use in projections and end-of month revenue and cost of sales recognition
Lead monthly internal meetings pertaining to cost estimates and reporting
Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost estimates
Prepare and analyze statements and reports, making recommendations as needed.
Review and process invoices for payment and resolve invoice discrepancies
Process stage billings and the corresponding cash applications.
Maintain records related to commissions, including accruals and payments.
Participate in month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and other account analysis.
Use computer and computer software to input, retrieve, or display accounting information.
Handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and effectively interface with others inside and outside the company.
Special reports and projects, other tasks, administrative duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgment, and management skills to achieve required results.
Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost effective manner.
Support peers and management with internal and external projects.
Adhere to company policies.
Other duties as directed by management.
Education: Bachelor's Degree, accounting major or related field
Experience :5+ years in Accounting, with experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting preferred; experience with ERP systems preferred.
Skills/Qualifications:
Accounting, GAAP Rules, Reporting Skills, and General Math Skills.
Deadline-Oriented, Time Management, and Attention to Detail.
Confidentiality, PC Proficiency, Productivity, and good Verbal Communication.
Physical Skill and Effort:
Work requires a few simple, but rapid, hand operations.
Work requires simple, easy muscular movements.

Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions.
