Applies corrosion skills and aptitude to repair, install, troubleshoot and perform predictive and preventative maintenance tasks on assigned corrosion facilities and corrosion equipment (rectifiers, test stations, ground beds, critical bonds, foreign line crossings, cased crossing, surveys, etc.).
Maintains assigned equipment in a manner to meet operational needs in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Assists local employees or technical personnel and/or performs other tasks as defined by the location.
Recognizes operating deviations and takes appropriate corrective action.
Will be required to maintain all elements of the companies established internal corrosion plan.
Maintain cleanliness and general appearance of facilities and surrounding work area as needed.
Reads and interprets drawings, schematics, and technical manuals, as well as other technical resources in the performance of assigned work.
Effectively uses hand, power, and specialty tools and equipment such as computers and associated software applications.
Maintains files and records for required state, federal, and company procedures.
Utilizes computers and e-mail for internal and external communication, record keeping, on-line reporting, material and supply ordering, and filing/maintenance of various forms and records.
Responds to emergency situations.
Schedules, coordinates, and inspects the work of third party contractors.
Operates portable and mobile work equipment including tractors and forklifts.
Candidate should be able to perform work independently with minimum supervision.
Possesses strong background and good working knowledge of corrosion principles and associated corrosion equipment.
Strong computer skills and application of Microsoft Office software platforms.
Strong background in the natural gas industry best practices and terminology are desired.
Effective written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative environment that includes shared responsibilities, establishing and maintaining good working relationships with others, to company objectives, and willingness to work in all areas required by Operations Manager.

Must be qualified or able to qualify in Corrosion Skills as outlined by company management. Possess a desire to advance individual skills as assigned by the Operations Manager in accordance with defined timeframes.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent as well as a clean driving record.
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years pipeline or corrosion related experience.
Corrosion background in the natural gas industry desired and technical training in a related industrial area is a plus.
Familiar with NACE principles and guidelines related to cathodic protection.
Candidate should be self-motivated, show initiative, and demonstrate leadership qualities. Great communicator, planner, and displays a great work ethic.
Possess at least an associate's (2 year) degree, preferably a corrosion/electrical based degree.
Employees may be subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions and temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas, heavy lifting, and cramped conditions.
May be required to travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings, and training involving some overnights stays away from home.
Subject to call out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and extended workdays and/or workweeks.
Must live within 45 minutes of the reporting location.
Will be required to carry a cell phone.
Must have a proven safe driving record and incumbent is subject to U.S. Department of Transportation Drug & Alcohol related regulations.
