Job Description: Maintain adequate corrosion control systems for pipelines and Terminals, including monitoring, testing, design, and installation. Corrosion control systems will include cathodic protection, atmospheric and subsurface coatings and internal corrosion prevention such as chemical treatments and monitoring.

  • Maintain effective corrosion control systems for pipeline and terminals. Run tests, as needed for design of corrosion control systems. Inspect installation of cathodic protection systems.

  • Troubleshoot and mitigate interference problems as required. Utilize Allegro field computer to collect regulatory CP data, enter and review data into CPDM for area of responsibility. Provide recommendations for improvements based on collected data.

  • Constantly interacts, trains and supports operations personnel concerning corrosion control. Inspect and advise on coating inspection and failure analysis as needed.

  • Insure compliance with federal and state regulations. Reduce potential risk to public safety and environment and minimize company liability.

  • Improve operations efficiency and financial profitability through well maintained facilities.

    Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have NACE Cathodic Protection Certification.
5-8 years of experience required. Must have experience in mitigation of corrosion of subsurface pipelines and above ground storage tanks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently proof work for accuracy. Ability to manage time and scheduling to meet appropriate deadlines. Ability to work successfully in stressful situations, and manage multiple tasks. Ability to use awareness of relationships and impacts of data trends and elements to appropriately recommend action that impacts the integrity of company assets. Ability to independently conduct job accountabilities. Ability to take directions from supervisor. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Work involves electronically controlling inventory, putting away goods, delivering goods to state facilities, reconciling inventory variances, using multiple computer software systems and maintaining warehouse security. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Essential Job Functions: 1. Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. 2. Delivers warehouse stock to assigned units and departments on a scheduled or special needs basis either manually or with appropriate warehouse lifting devices. (20%) 3. Receives and assists with receiving shipments of commodities and equipment to include warehouse stock and special orders. Duties related to receiving include inspecting, counting, and checking items for compliance or damage and making notations on proper documents in accordance with the Supply Services Departmental Procedures.(20%) 4. Delivers non-stock items to ordering departments in order to provide users with supplies and/or equipment in a timely manner. (15%) 5. Loads and unloads supplies and equipment to and from delivery vehicles. Uses forklift, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. (15%) 6. Assist in reconciling inventory variances and maintains inventory of warehouse stock supplies to include analyzing reports and generating replenishment requisitions. Provides reports related to receiving and inventory control. (10%) 7. Enters and manipulates data in MIMS and HHSAS computer programs daily in order to maintain adequate stock levels and timely receiving of nonstock items. (10%) 8. Answers telephone, handles walk up customers and relays any messages or pertinent information to the warehouse supervisor. Provides information regarding status of delivery of warehouse stock orders as requested and other related warehouse inquiries. (5%) 9. Employee actively participates and/or serves in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation." (5%) Knowledge Skills Abilities: Knowledge of general warehouse operations to include shipping, receiving, inventory control, inventory replenishment and customer service. Skill in the use of mechanical lifting devices used in warehouse operations to move, transfer and deliver goods. Ability to review warehouse rules, regulations, and policies for compliance and to follow departmental policy instructions for inventory control guidelines. Ability to use a handheld device for the purpose of managing warehouse stock and receiving goods. Skill in the use of tabulating data, reporting and record keeping. Skill in use of operating a computer using inventory control and receiving softwares. Skill in communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Registration or Licensure Requirements: Valid Class C Drivers License (Texas Drivers License preferred) to be checked yearly for any violations or suspensions. Initial Selection Criteria: Graduation from an accredited high school or GED. Six (6) months of work experience operating warehouse material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, dolly, four-wheeled cart truck with a lift gate) preferred. One (1) year of work experience using integrated personal computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel). One (1) year of work experience in material handling or inventory control - ordering, stocking, issuing and delivering. Work experience managing goods in a warehouse setting using a handheld electronic scanning device preferred.
