As the Correspondent Bank Relationship Manager, your day will be filled with opportunities to manage correspondent banking and syndicated loan participation loan portfolios for Stock Yards Bank and help establish relationships with other community banks, primarily in the Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio regions. Banking experience in commercial lending important while Stock Yards Bank will provide a professional environment to continually improve the candidate's skills and to further his/her career goals for advancement to higher levels within the banking profession.
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Serve as the primary banker in the correspondent banking area, responsible for developing relationships with community banks to provide needed products and services.
Responsible for identifying, soliciting, servicing, delivering, and coordinating the delivery of a broad range of financial products and services.
Proactively develop new client relationships and deliver exceptional, high level relationship management to clients and prospects.
Represent the bank with banking organizations such as KBA, ABA, etc.
Solicit and evaluate loan requests to determine interests of SYB
Price, structure, and negotiate appropriate credit requests
Ensure compliance with KYC, and other laws and regulations in dealing with organizations in the finance area
Significant overnight travel required
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in business, accounting, finance, or banking / equivalent education and related training - will consider applicable years of experience
7 years banking experience
5 years in commercial lending
Possess and demonstrate a broad, fundamental understanding of commercial banking
Strong interpersonal, sales
Strong relationship management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft computer applications
Knowledge of lending services and bank products
Knowledge of loan, bank and regulatory policy
Ability to analyze loan requests and determine borrowing need and repayment sources
