This position is located at Caswell Correctional Center in Blanch, NC.
Salary Grade: GN08 Salary Range: $33,960 $54,337
Provide supervision for subordinate staff in a medium custody unit. Conduct shift line-up, make shift assignments and inspect all personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post.
Complete, review, and maintain time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations and administrative forms. Account for persons and funds to insure that all assigned equipment is operationally ready.

Applicant must have passed the Sergeant's Promotional Exam within the past 5 years.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years six months of experience as a Correctional Officer, or two years of experience as Correctional Officer II; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Special Qualifications:
Must be eligible for certification by the N.C. Criminal Justice Education and Training and Standards Commission.
