Position Summary

This position is accountable for the global leadership of Resource Management across all of Huron's Industries and Capabilities. In this newly created position, she/he/they will focus on the strategic aspects of Resource Management, workforce planning and project management, offering new methods that enable business growth and employ best-practices across a diverse set of businesses, inclusive of management, strategic, and technology consulting.

As a senior member of Huron's leadership team, this individual will oversee a team of approximately thirty RMs, including RM leaders assigned to each business. Their primary focus will be to create and execute a robust strategic workforce planning strategy that enables and activates the business objectives for each Industry/Capability.

Qualifications

Lead the team of RM resources to ensure that practice SLAs, support service levels, the team's career growth and objectives. The successful candidate must lead the team effectively in service delivery to the Industries and Capabilities and create a structure that supports the efficiencies we are after, coupled with the "intimacies" of practice service delivery.

Collaborate with the senior leaders of Huron's Industry and Capabilities (i.e. Healthcare, Education and Research, Digital, etc.) teams to create strategic workforce strategies aligned with the objectives of each business.

Develop and take ownership of the processes and tools to match labor with capacity needs, drive standardization and tool development across all for consistency.

Assess and adopt various staffing modalities including the utilization of full-time resources, coupled with contractors, subject matter experts, and cross functional teams.

Coach/Player leading teams by providing a framework of expectations and leaning in to support execution when needed.

Develop processes and tools to match client forecasts with capacity determining needed staffing levels.

Ensure reviews and approvals of staffing needs occur and are aligned with budgeted performance.

Accountable for network workforce forecasting and optimization.

Proactively determine long and short-term staffing needs and effectively communicate upcoming trends.

Perform analysis of findings/trends using statistical analysis, modeling, process documentation, profitability analysis, etc.

Manage large data sets to deliver financial and operational results.

Influence key stakeholders to improve planning efficiency and accuracy.

Identify synergies across various businesses to optimize resourcing needs.

Develop and define the use of staffing tools and platforms, and in particular, the utilization of Workday for staffing and workforce planning needs.

Lead the RM team around deployment design, resource allocation, capacity planning, and analytics.

Partner with Business Leads, Operations teams, HR, and Talent Acquisition to provide resource insights that maximize talent capacity and provides future based direction on hiring and training needs.

Develop best-practice methodologies that ultimately drive more connectivity between the RM team and the leadership teams across Huron.

Guide and direct the businesses to address any gaps between Resource Management and practice leadership.

Analyze complex data related to headcount, confirmed project work, backlog, sales pipeline and similar types of information to make strategic recommendations to Industry/Capability leadership.

Coordinate the development and management of optimizing our use of third-party resources (e.g. contingent workers) for staffing.

The Ideal Candidate

Critical experience includes:

10+ years of leadership experience with a focus on resource management, workforce planning, and recruiting.

Ability to lead and direct a global workforce planning function for over 6k team members, ideally in multiclient environments.

Experience working within a professional services environment is required.

Strong history of managing and leading complex projects.

Prior experience with Workday ERP in resource management is preferred.

Prior experience leading change efforts within a fast-paced, geographically dispersed business unit, with rapidly shifting skills/capabilities required.

Strong people leader with proven skills in influence without authority and process development.

Knowledge in operations including experience orchestrating end to end flow while delivering on identified targets.

High financial acumen and ability to understand client forecasts & indirectly manage an annual workforce.

Ability to understand, organize and thrive in highly variable volume operations while overseeing the delivery of KPIs and SLAs.

Education

A bachelor's degree in business, with an MBA preferred.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $188,750 - $285,500. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting.

The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $254,812 - $385,425.

The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
