The Corporate Strategy Intern works as part of a team and performs individual tasks to lead or support research and analysis on a number of strategic initiatives. The Intern's work helps answer key strategic questions facing the industry, and provides critical insights into the competitive landscape and key risks facing the industry.


The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the position that are most important to get the job done.

Work closely with Strategy Development and Execution teams to create detailed strategy and strategic initiatives; Assist in assessing risk, both for short-term and long-term measures; Assist in developing underlying strategic initiatives, analyzing business options, and creating business case scenarios; Assist in the creation and preparation of materials for presentations to Senior Management and Board Members; Assist in set up and implementation of SharePoint to help the Strategy Team in documentation; Develop templates to facilitate team collaboration through SharePoint; Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all job aspects; Other duties as assigned.

Ability to apply academic tools to the real world; Self-starter with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects; Professional-level communication skills, both oral and written; Detail oriented and strong organizational skills; Strong interpersonal skills; Strong PC and technology skills, including MS Suite and BI tools (preferred); Experience accessing and analyzing financial, market and economic data; Ability to synthesize large datasets and deliver meaningful data visualizations; Ability to interact effectively with management and personnel at multiple levels and thrive in a team environment; Ability to navigate complex and ambiguous business topics with thoughtfulness and discretion; Willingness to learn and ask questions; Ability to think strategically and analytically.

The minimum level of education, experience, and certifications required to perform the job.

Current enrollment in a college/university majoring in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Energy Management, Law or a related program; Completion of at least Sophomore year (Juniors, Seniors and MBA students preferred); Ability to work full time over the summer; Minimum of a 3.25 GPA.
