We are looking for an experienced Staff Attorney.

The Staff Attorney will be an integral member of the legal team, supporting the General Counsel and other staff attorneys. This individual will be responsible for working with internal stakeholders Company-wide on a variety of legal needs. The role requires a results-focused self-starter possessing exemplary leadership, communication, collaboration, and influencing skills. The role also requires a can-do business-oriented approach, a superb legal mind, and the ability to operate in dynamic business and legal environments.

Your Role:

  • Initiate, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including vendor, software development, IP-licensing, customer subscription, and similar contracts, while focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and fast turnaround time.

  • Develop and maintain jurisdictional and subject matter expertise in the areas of data use and protection, particularly with respect to compliance with global privacy laws and regulations.

  • Draft and negotiate privacy and security provisions for contracts involving processing of personal data.

  • Draft and maintain privacy policies and notices governing employee, owner and customer data.

  • Advise business regarding data collection, use and management in compliance with applicable policies, legal requirements and industry best practices.

  • Act as a proactive business partner to all levels of the organization and build trusted advisor relationships in addition to influencing and collaborating effectively across all levels of the Company.

  • Exhibit deep knowledge of the Company's business and provide creative and practical legal advice and decision-making acumen to achieve business objectives in compliance with applicable laws and in alignment with the Company's ethics and values.

Your Skills and Background:

  • A team player with low ego who can effectively work with other professionals.

  • 1-3 years' experience in privacy, software or telecommunications technology.

  • 2-5 years of relevant legal experience, a combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred.

  • Some litigation experience is preferred, although this is a non-litigation position.

  • Ability to prepare and maintain policy and procedure documentation.

  • Ability to understand technology driven projects and complex data flows.

  • Ability to review, interpret, analyze and apply complex legal documents and regulatory framework.

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

  • Member in good standing of a state bar.

  • Excellent analytic ability, nuanced judgment, and exceptional problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Google Suite applications. Experience using CRM software, electronic signature applications, virtual data room applications, and cloud-based document management systems preferred.

  • A willingness to learn new areas of law, acquire new skills, and take on additional and/or new responsibilities within the team on an "as-needed" basis.

  • Confidence operating in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work and lead under pressure unruffled, exhibiting timely decision making, and with a sense of humor and balance.

  • Ability to handle ambiguity, juggle multiple matters at once, and quickly and seamlessly shift from one situation or task to another.

  • This role may work out of one the Sangoma office locations in the United States and may have the ability on occasion to work remotely.

The ideal candidate will perform duties as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) located at the Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company Huntsville Facility in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities include: • Oversee day-to-day information system security operations including assisting the ISSM on all technical security matters. • Carry out technical administration of IS in accordance with internal LM and customer security requirements, primarily Risk Management Framework (RMF). • Participating in auditing and continuous monitoring of the IS. • Review and oversee RMF Package authorizations. • Upkeep, monitor, analyze, and respond to security events. • Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M). • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices. • Ensure configuration management (CM) for security-relevant IS software, hardware, firmware, and system documentation. • Ensure all information systems lifecycle management documentation are maintained. • Evaluate proposed changes or additions to the information system, and advise the ISSM of their security relevance. • Assist and conduct security IS education and training. • Participate in internal/external security audits/inspections; performs risk assessments. • Assist in conducting investigations of computer security violations and incidents. • Ensure proper protection and corrective measures are taken when an incident or vulnerability has been discovered. • Implement and enforce Information Security Policies and Procedures together with ISSM and CPSO. Candidate will typically have a Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of experience. Basic Qualifications: - Final Secret clearance. - Overall knowledge of Information Systems Security and ISSO duties. - Windows client/server background with strong UNIX/LINUX technical experience. - Knowledge of OS security requirements with auditing experience. - Familiar with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. - DoD 8570 IAM Level II Certification (i.e., CISSP). Desired Skills: - Knowledge of ACAS, HBSS and Splunk, and working knowledge of system administration and network administration tasks. - Writing RMF System Security Plans for DCSA authorization. - Experience using eMass. - DoD 8570 IAM Level III Certification. - Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
