Aramark Uniform Services (AUS) provides uniforms and related products to more than 400,000 customers nationwide, in virtually every industry. From designing and manufacturing to laundering and delivering, AUS works with local and national clients to create and maintain a total uniform solution that promotes teamwork and establishes a professional identity. AUS operates from over 200 locations nationwide and has an opportunity for a Corporate Services Associate in Burbank, CA.

Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Receives, processes, sorts and delivers incoming mail on a daily basis to the Aramark Uniform Services (AUS) Central Office Departments. Also responsible for logging and distributing incoming shipments.

  • Processes daily outgoing mail including overnight and outside package shipping using couriers such as Federal Express, UPS, & USPS.

  • Stocks paper and other supplies for various photocopiers, fax machines, printers, and supply rooms throughout the AUS Central Office.

  • Processes special in- house photocopying projects for various AUS Central Office departments.

  • Prints a variety Payroll and Accounts Payables checks on regular basis for the Accounting and Payroll departments.

  • Delivers and picks up needed items (e.g. files, supplies, etc.)

  • Set-up and break-down of conference and/or training rooms as needed for scheduled meetings and events.

  • Stocks all coffee bars and kitchens as needed.

  • Orders and stocks various office supplies as needed.

  • Operates the employee access badge system.

  • Coordinates building and building equipment maintenance.

  • Provides coverage for the reception desk.

Qualifications:

  • Mailroom or similar experience in a medium to large company within a corporate environment.

  • A high school diploma required

  • MS Office including: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship within the organization and various levels of management and staff.

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Supports and participates in the company's quality standards with a continuous focus on customer service.

  • Must be able to manage multiple changing priorities.

  • Must be detailed oriented.

  • Good follow-up skills.

  • Must be able to work well in a team environment.

  • A results-oriented individual who excels at customer service; an individual who takes initiative, accepts accountability, and can make a positive impact at the AUS central office.

  • Must be capable and/or have the ability to lift and move packages of varying size and shape (up to 50 pounds).

Responsibilities: A Day in the Life… * Serve as creative and proactive thought partner in identifying best solutions and techniques to convey and display learning content through graphic design and motion graphics/animations * Learn to manage projects and see them through concept to completion * Design and assist in the creation and revisions of class presentations, infographics, vector illustrations/iconography, participant guides, job-aids, communications, mood boards, web page comps, and more. * Assist in the creation of motion graphics to be used as stand-alone pieces or integrated (composited) into other learning products * Demonstrate a working knowledge of composition and layout, color, typeface selection, and other fundamentals of design * Ensure that the Disney standards of quality and creativity and the D Learn brand are reflected consistently in all materials * Research and share new trends and techniques in all aspects of the creative and production processes Basic Qualifications: What we are looking for… * Proficiency in software for graphic design, desktop publishing, and presentations, including Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro), Microsoft Office (emphasis on PowerPoint) * Strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in logo design, layout, presentation design, color, illustration, and typography * Ability to adapt easily in a fast-paced team environment and balance multiple projects and deadlines * Strong project management, organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization and time management skills * Knowledge of both PC and Mac environments * Knowledge of file formats and specifications in preparation for printing versus web * Confidence in presenting ideas and interacting with partners of various backgrounds and levels * Strong partnering skills and ability to influence * Proactive listening skills and ability to ask thoughtful questions for clarity and discovery * Ability to take direction/constructive feedback * High self-initiative with the ability to work independently and with a team Preferred Qualifications: * Illustration skills or the ability to revise existing illustrations while maintaining character integrity * Experience designing for motion graphics, photography and/or video editing * Background in Marketing or Communications Required Education * Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program. * Currently pursuing or recently graduated within the past 6 months with a Bachelor's degree in in Graphic Design, Digital Media or a closely related field. Additional Information: * At time of application, must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship * Must be at least 18 years of age * Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program * Must possess unrestricted work authorization * Program dates of this internship are May/June 2020 through January 2021 * Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship - typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:30am-5pm PST * Able to occasionally work a flexible schedule including early mornings, late nights, or weekends if needed for cast events * Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program. * Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
