We are seeking a full-time Corporate Accounts Payable Specialist with a minimum of one year of experience to work in our Wealth Division. The successful candidate will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager. The position entails assisting the accounting/finance department with accounts payable, month-end close, providing support in compiling payables information, and completing special projects.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

1.Research, code, and prepare invoices for daily imports to accounts payable system.

2.Assist with general ledger account reconciliations, analyze monthly account activity, and prepare related accrual journal entries.

3.Prepare commission payroll workbooks on subsidiary and individualized basis for imports and disbursement to reps

4.Process weekly accounts payable ach and check batches following internal controls

5.Work closely with Finance & Accounting to understand nature and account coding of expenses and impact to general ledger.

6.Assist in review of trial balance accounts for completeness and accuracy.

7.Assist management with audits, research inquiries, prepare schedules, and generate reports.

8.Process assigned tasks timely and in accordance with daily requirements and monthly close schedule.

9.Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.



  1. Accomplish accounting department and organizational goals by completing tasks as needed.

  2. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.


Education, Experience and Skills Preferred:

1.Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting/Finance.

2.Minimum one-year of relevant work experience in accounts payable.

3.Must possess a good understanding of the general ledger close process and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

4.Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Power Point, Outlook) and intermediate Excel skills.

5.Proficiency in computer-based accounting applications required.

6.Experience with NetSuite platform a plus.

7.Must be able to perform responsibilities as a team member and be deadline driven.

8.Self-starter with good communication skills; deadline oriented with good time management and organizational skills.
