What You'll Do:

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand and identify essential job qualifications and talents, develop sourcing strategies, and assess candidates. Utilize and interpret assessment tools effectively. Educate and develop managers' skills in equitable and valid hiring practices.

  • Develop effective, creative advertising and outreach strategies to reach your target candidate audience, including diverse candidates. Develop a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for present and future openings.

  • Investigate new platforms and bring original ideas to the team on sourcing and recruiting approaches.

  • Administer the applicant tracking system and recruiting process, from the time the requisition is approved until the time the candidate is on-boarded. Timely and accurate disposition of candidates is crucial.

  • Routinely source candidates through various databases and LinkedIn using Boolean search techniques. Proactively network through industry contacts to solicit candidate referrals. Target and pitch passive candidates on career opportunities.

  • Communicate persuasively in writing and over the phone to candidates, hiring managers and human resource partners. Ensure organized, accurate and effective communication to all parties throughout the recruiting process.

  • Systematically map the talent pool, including competitive companies, pay, layoffs, attraction factors, etc.

  • Troubleshoot, cold call, brainstorm, problem solve as needed to fill tough positions.

  • Assist in the creation of reports, metrics, updates and presentations.

  • Ensure compliance throughout the recruiting and hiring process with all applicable policies, procedures and laws. Support AAP and diversity outreach efforts.

  • Assist in the interpretation and administration of company policies, procedures and guidelines. Advise and counsel others in equitable application of company policies.

  • Plan, evaluate, research and recommend systematic or process improvements in the recruiting function.

  • Manage relationships with third-party recruiting agencies. Hold them accountable for high quality, diverse candidate submissions.

  • Attend job fairs, university events and speaking engagement as required.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Two years of recruiting experience or equivalent experience in HR, marketing or sales

  • Excellent judgment, organizational and analytical skills

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter preferred. Intermediate or advanced Boolean search skills a plus.

  • Skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Prior experience with applicant tracking systems strongly preferred.

  • Fundamental understanding of employment laws, including Equal Opportunity Employment and Affirmative Action or ability to learn.
