We are presently seeking an individual who will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and special projects.

As a successful Senior Staff Accountant, you will:

  • Prepare, in a timely manner, financial statements on an accrual basis for manufactured home communities and investment groups.

  • Reconcile balance sheet items including bank accounts. Pursue cash reconciling items to resolution in a timely manner.

  • Prepare monthly variance analysis for specific communities.

  • Prepare monthly cash needs for specific communities

  • Prepare lender-reporting packages and provide analysis upon request.

  • Prepare, quarterly investor reporting for specific properties.

  • Prepare year-end accountant packages for external auditors. Respond to external auditor inquiries and requests for additional information.

  • Prepare management fee calculations for manufactured home communities.

  • Monthly review of AP & AR reports and close general ledger.

  • Perform monthly Manage America upload for manufactured home communities.

  • Prepare payroll journal entries, including allocation of job costs for the Bayshore crew.

  • Maintain a list of delinquent notes for commission payments and summary of delinquency history.

  • Write off Bayshore defaulted notes in the loan center, prepare check request to write off note and record current net original cost in MRI.

  • Train new Staff Accountants.

  • Prepare standard operating procedures for staff accountant responsibilities.

  • Perform special projects and/or other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.

  • Strong analytical thinking skills.

  • 10-key calculator and reconciliation skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically, Excel and Outlook.

  • Experience with accounting software, preferably MRI.

  • Detail orientated, and the ability to multitask, and be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
