Schedule/Location:
Pay: $100,000-120,000 annually, depending upon experience

Job Purpose: You are a communicative and strategic fundraiser and team member who is responsible for driving the corporate engagement strategy. You manage all elements of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of assigned corporations through prospect strategy and tailored outreach to increase philanthropic engagement and partnerships. You will be responsible for growing your portfolio through acquisition and qualification.
What you will be doing:
Strategy — Develop, propose, and implement a comprehensive action plan to acquire, qualify, cultivate, engage, and solicit corporations and private business in partnerships and philanthropic support for AHS.
Continuous Growth — Create and execute strategies to inspire businesses to financially invest in AHS at the major giving level and improve their overall commitment to general operating support and capital campaign.
Relationship Building— Make meaningful contact with corporate donors and prospects to nurture donor loyalty and foster relationships between the donors and AHS.
Process — Manage portfolio of corporate prospects. Collaborate with internal partners to create a meaningful and holistic corporate partnership and donor engagement experiences.
Reporting — Track donor prospects and document their cultivation, solicitation, stewardship activities.
Support — Aid in the development and execution of strategy, cultivation, and stewardship activities. Work collaboratively on communication materials for prospects. Reinforce the prospect relationship continuum.
Culture — Foster an open and inclusive work environment by modeling AHS’s behaviors and values, consistent with the vision and mission of the organization.

Requirements
What we are looking for:
Experience — Minimum of 4 years philanthropy or corporate relations experience. Demonstrated ability to successfully solicit and close investments from corporations or private industry. Experience in marketing, sales, relationship management or related fields with an emphasis on cultivation and solicitation of organizations
Computer Skills — Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Database and CRM experience preferred.
Schedule — Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during administrative operations hours as defined by management with flexibility to work an occasional evening or weekend shift.
Adaptability — Ability to work in a professional and positive manner with high attention to detail in a variety of situations, while effectively navigating both internal and external relations.
Communication — Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, must have ability to work independently, as a member of the team, and collaboratively with external donors and internal partners.
Physical & Emotional Capabilities — Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in an animal shelter environment, including the use of euthanasia.
