Job Title: Corporate Real Estate Senior Project Manager
Location: Region

Reports To: America's Real Estate Lead
Basic Position Description:
The Senior Project Manager role plans, directs, manages, and provides oversight of assigned design and construction projects to ensure that Hitachi Energy goals and objective are accomplished within prescribed schedule and budget parameters. Effectively communicating at all levels of the project and within the organization. Provides internal and external coordination/ collaboration within stakeholders. This position will lead the execution of small to large capital complex capital improvement/ build projects in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety & environmental requirements.
This position works on a variety of projects/ initiatives that require detailed analysis, strategic thinking, and delivery on objectives. The projects/ initiatives are undertaken to improve effectiveness of organization to meet organizational goals.
This position has direct responsibility for all day-to-day aspects of corporate real estate projects utilizing best practices, monitoring progress, oversight of 3rd party project management firm(s)/ individual(s) to deliver the projects on time and within budget. The Senior Project Manager will ensure proper invoicing, budgeting, manages risks, delivery of project, closeout. This includes capturing, analyzing, and sharing lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Duties/Responsibilities include the following:
Project Leadership: Lead project planning and strategy development with project team and stakeholders. Provides direct leadership and oversight of the 3rd party firm(s), individuals to ensure that guidelines/ tasks are defined, motivating resources to accomplish all tasks and meet milestones. Develop annual capital investment budget for projects/ initiatives. This includes pricing projects planned for future fiscal year.
Planning and Scheduling: Lead estimating, developing of plan, and timeline for all assigned projects. Defines all project documents, including scope and financials, along with schedule and risk management plans. Obtains budget approvals through internal tools/ processes. Ensure that project plans align to corporate sustainability goals and objectives.
Project Execution and Control: Ensure that project(s) follow best practices and company policies. Identify and manage project risks and ensure that mitigation plans are developed and implemented. Ensure compliance with project specification, building codes, and safety standards. Monitors all aspects of projects/ initiatives to ensure proper oversight of scope, budget, and delivery. Ensure project closeout is completed and meets company guidelines. Conduct studies, investigations and provide detail analysis of data relating to projects or initiatives.
Stakeholder Relations: Acts as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for all project related matters. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders/ suppliers. Effectively communicates with all stakeholders.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Ensure that the project(s) follows and complies with Hitachi Energy health, safety, and environmental policies.
Complexity of Tasks:
Requires broad knowledge of all aspects of corporate real estate construction of new, and modification of existing facilities. Requires in-depth understanding of construction best practices, construction company operations, support function, related requirement and HSE. Requires exceptional communication skills and ability to influence decisions of stakeholders and business leaders. Requires foresight to recognize opportunities to improve on projects plan, timeline, and costs.

Requires in-depth knowledge of financials relating to construction, capital projects including asset amortization

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related field with 15+ years of experience. Alternately, a combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
Proven skills and abilities relating to project/ program execution.
Technically astute and strategic thinking.
Established knowledge of accounts payable process and tools in a shared service environment.
Proficient skill with Microsoft Office 365 tools specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
Advanced skill with Microsoft Project Management; or similar tools.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, and construction related tools.
Working knowledge of reporting tools to support role.
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
