JOB SUMMARY: This position will be part of an outstanding legal team supporting the DaVita Medical Group business. Reporting to the VP, Associate General Counsel, the contracts paralegal will primarily support the legal team in the areas of payor, provider and commercial contracting. The successful candidate will be required to develop and foster relationships across the organization and provide legal support in a dynamic, fast paced environment.


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral

  • Able to work effectively with a wide variety of internal and external parties

  • Experience in healthcare contracting and regulation is a plus

  • Able to use a variety of basic programs such as Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook Knowledge of contract management systems would be a plus

  • Knowledge of the matters covered below under "Core Job Duties"


  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) preferred

  • Paralegal Certificate from ABA-accredited program preferred

  • Prior experience in a law firm or in-house legal department is required; 8 10 years ideally, but will consider more or less experience depending on other factors


  • Supporting and working collaboratively with the national contracting team

  • Assisting with contract drafting and contract template development

  • Conducting research on contracting issues

  • Assisting with development of contract management processes and procedures

  • Maintaining contract management database

  • Other duties as assigned.
