YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for oversight, management, and execution of the overall supply chain in Brenntag's geography.

  • Responsible for oversight, management, and execution of commercial carrier utilization in support of the company.

  • Responsible for the effective utilization of the Brenntag fleet for servicing our facilities and our customers.

  • Responsible for oversight, management, and execution of the Transportations Management System (TMS) throughout Brenntag.

  • Responsible for oversight, management, and execution of all contract rate agreements, including rail, van, and bulk tanker for Brenntag.

  • Responsible for oversight, management, and execution of measures to mitigate detention and demurrage, including the review and approval of invoices in this area.

  • Responsible for oversight, management, and execution of fleet compliance.

  • Responsible for oversight, management, and execution all licensing and permitting for the Brenntag fleet.

  • Responsible for oversight, management, and execution of the overall supply chain in Brenntag's geography.

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have the skills and ability to influence peers and others throughout the organization to move initiatives forward and achieve company goals/objectives.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Must be well versed in the use of all Microsoft Office products. Above average skills in Microsoft Excel are essential to this position.

  • Ability to apply principles of critical, logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.

  • Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
