NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to join our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL 35216. The Human Resources Generalist will serve as the first point of contact for our Human Resources Department and is responsible for the timely and efficient completion of a variety of daily functions including but not limited to; data-entry, credentialing, processing invoices, internal and external communications, verification of employment inquiries, and new hire orientation preparation, and presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete onboarding activities for new hires to include sending welcome emails, monitoring completion of required documentation, issuing badges, and completing E-Verify.

  • Process status changes to include terminations of employees in electronic employee files.

  • Maintain electronic employee records including file attachments and updating the system.

  • Complete or acquire background checks and employment verifications.

  • Handle employment-related inquiries from employees, supervisors, and applicants, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

  • Maintain inventory for office supplies and equipment.

  • Manages and updates any necessary records and reports as needed.

  • Answers phones; email correspondence; communicating in a professional manner with all managers, employees, vendors and customers.

  • Assists CHRO and Director of HR - Corporate with various projects and/or special projects.

  • Conduct New Hire Orientation

  • Promotes, supports, and adheres to all policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.

  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, termination, and investigations as needed.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes

  • Seeks resources for direction, when necessary.

  • Performs other related functions and duties as required.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Human Resources is required.

  • Previous corporate office Human Resources experience, preferably 2-year administrative experience in an HR environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with accuracy and timeliness.

  • High level of HR knowledge and best practices in areas such as planning and administration, performance management, employee retention, employee relations, etc.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize task and to delegate them when appropriate.

  • Ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

  • High level of organizational and time management skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to focus.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and communication skills.

  • Experience with working in a changing environment.

This is not a remote position. This position will report to our Corporate Headquarters, Monday - Friday, normal business hours.
