What you will be responsible for:

The Corporate Hotel Sales Manager position reports directly to the Director of Sales for ICONA Resorts. The Corporate Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for selling luxury dining, meeting and event spaces for all entities of Icona Resorts. Between all venues, this position will generate events ranging from 10- 300+ persons. Duties will include contract review, site fees, facilitating communication prior, during and after events with key team members, to ensure a 5 star experience for our guests. The Corporate Hotel Sales Manager hosts on-site client visits and develops and maintains strong customer relationships.

  • The Corporate Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for actively researching, promoting, booking, and coordinating business on a year-round basis. Group categories include but are not limited to corporate events and functions. As part of the Sales team, the Corporate Hotel Sales Manager may be asked to attend local and regional events representing Icona Resorts.
  • Actively prospect new group business that supports the goals laid out in the marketing and sales plan for the Resort.

Requirements

  • Lead generation through inside and outside sales efforts, including Corporate Clients, Hotels and Destination Management companies.
  • Respond to group inquiries that come to the resort via the website, phone, email, referrals, and word of mouth.
  • Work with group leaders to plan and coordinate all aspects of a group visit. This includes but not limited to: events, lodging, F&B, and meeting space.
  • Participate in the strategic planning process for meetings and events, including event objectives, designing events and constructing budgets based on clients needs.
  • Generate, negotiate and confirm details on event contracts.
  • Spearhead follow-up, fulfillment and closing of contracts
  • Conduct and host initial site visits and additional visits, as requested.
  • Coordinate with all departments on group activities.
  • Responsible for reconciling group invoices and collecting all payments.
  • Drafting, distributing Group Function sheets and BEO's detailing upcoming events, functions, and groups, as well as, forecasting
  • Be available through the day to check on the group and handle any questions or provide solutions.
  • Work with marketing team to develop sales collateral.
  • Attend weekly sales and team forecasting meetings.
  • Use sales tools to track leads, contacts and reports.
  • Prior event planning experience preferred.
  • Experience with relevant software applications including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs, internet, and email communications.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communications, and be comfortable presenting in front of groups.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays, as business demands.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years experience as a team lead actively participating and overseeing projects, daily maintenance of all facets of resort properties and strong leadership skills.</p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following and will alter to support the needs of the properties:</p><ul> <li>Conducting walk-throughs and visually assessing the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment</li> <li>Informing the General Manager and hotel department heads on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure, related systems and equipment offering prudent, cost effective proposals for maintaining these systems</li> <li>Ensuring all projects, including, but not limited to, routine maintenance, repairs, replacement and renovation projects, are completed on time and according to specifications.</li> <li>Maintaining effective Preventative Maintenance programs and conducting special training for other operating departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment in and around the hotel</li> <li>Working closely with other departments to ensure coordination of activities</li> <li>Supervising team members including training, evaluations, development and disciplining</li> <li>Preparing and adjusting weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts</li> <li>Authorizing requests for personal time off, holidays for team members, schedule changes, overtime, purchase requests and expenditures</li> <li>Reviewing guest comments and ensuring that problems are identified and corrected in a timely manner.</li> <li>Responding to guest requests in a timely, professional and friendly manner to help ensure that we are meeting or exceeding guest expectations.</li> <li>Acting as the safety coordinator for the entire hotel including ensuring that all emergency equipment and systems are inspected, tested and certified per standards.</li> </ul><ul> <li>Maintaining a safe and working environment throughout the hotel for all team members, enforcing safety guidelines and building awareness about safety</li> <li>Recommending capital expenditures and acquiring bids as appropriate</li> <li>Managing expenses within approved budget guidelines</li> <li>Assessing critical repairs and facilitating an immediate and cost effective response</li> <li>Implementing and managing procedures and practices that ensure quality assurance for work performed by hotel maintenance teams</li> <li>Ensuring that there is an adequate inventory of parts, supplies, tools and materials available through effective ordering</li> </ul><ul> <li>Responding promptly to elevator breakdowns.</li> <li>Maintaining accurate maintenance records.</li> <li>Responding and resolve engineering service requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.</li> <li>Testing pool (in season) and adjusting chemical</li> <li>Appropriate and proper use of engineering supplies and tools.</li> <li>Maintaining all work areas in orderly and clean condition.</li> <li>Oversee daily maintenance of property, ie, cleaning windows exterior/interior, policing trash pick-up and removal for parking lot, sidewalks and all property grounds.</li> <li>Set up and break down of special events on hotel property, as needed.</li> <li>Manage beach and pool chairs, umbrellas, etc. (in season).</li> <li>Showing up on time and at work when scheduled, and in proper uniform.</li> <li>Attending weekly management and training meetings.</li> <li>A consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and associates.</li> <li>Writing shift reports including reports on any incidents of theft, accidents or injuries when assigned.</li> <li>Performing special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.</li> <li>Ensuring compliance with OSHA, Fire &amp;
