Who we are looking for

State Street is looking for Corporate Paralegal with primary responsibilities in corporate governance and securities matters. The Corporate Paralegal will support the corporate legal department and assist with preparation of State Street's public company Section 16 filings for directors and executive officers (Forms 3, 4 and 5), administer the company's securities trading policy and prepare board and committee meeting minutes. Additional responsibilities include performing corporate secretarial functions, such as the preparation company certificates and director and executive officer questionnaires and reporting beneficial ownership of company shares in other SEC or Federal Reserve regulatory filings.

Please note: this position will be part-time (20 hours per week) except during the key busy periods (November - April), when it will be full time, or nearly full time.

As Corporate Paralegal, you will

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Two to four years of relevant corporate paralegal experience required

  • Direct experience with SEC and NYSE reporting obligations for public companies preferred, including Section 16 reporting requirements

  • Experience with Workiva a plus

  • Bachelor's degree and paralegal certification preferred

VIEW JOBS 5/23/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-08-21T00:00 Job Title: AML and Sanctions Innovations Screening Functional Specialist, Officer Department: AML Compliance Location: US-MA-Quincy Scope of Role The AML Innovation Screening team is a corporate function that provides risk screening, detection, and mitigation services on transactions, customers, securities, etc. in support of the AML & Sanctions Compliance functions. We develop enterprise systems that leverage sophisticated algorithms to screen transactions and other entity data (customers, investors, securities, brokers, and vendors) against government and industry provided lists in support of our Global Financial Crimes Compliance remit. The Innovation team implements, upgrades and maintains screening technologies that are integrated across critical bank systems and therefore requires careful management and thoughtful analysis. The AML & Sanctions Screening group is looking for an experienced individual who can successfully leverage new technology to enhance our capabilities as well as support the growth of the transaction business at scale. The position will also implement enhancements and support upgrades that require careful management and strong analysis. Job Description Major Responsibilities: * Maintain regulatory and internal list for various screening tools based on expectations laid in the screening standards * Analyze output of screening systems to create systemic rules that can suppress recurring false matches (a.k.a. False Hit Mitigation) * Support innovation analytics and data visualization * User set up and annual user certification for AML Compliance applications * Assist with reporting for management and other stakeholders * Review and revisit procedures and controls to make them effective and efficient * Generate and publish reports to Compliance and global stakeholders * Liaise with local and global Compliance, business and technology teams * Work closely with the offshore team extension in handoff of tasks * Review of tasks performed by peers (second set of eyes) * Some weekend work for business testing and other initiatives will be expected Qualifications Education/ Certifications: * Bachelor degree or equivalent * ACAMS certifications preferred Skills and Experience: * Minimum of 4-6 years relevant experience * Familiarity with Firco Continuity (Transaction) and Firco Trust (Entity) screening or other screening (a.k.a. watch list filtering) systems is preferred * Knowledge of financial transaction types such as SWIFT MT and MX, FED Wires, CHIPS, SEPA, ACH, etc. is a plus * Familiarity with sanction screening (a.k.a. watch list filtering), False Hit Mitigation techniques and similar operational activities is preferred * Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. * Strong abilities in analytical thinking, problem solving, research and time management * Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks in a high pressure deadline driven environment * Ability to liaise with the business and technology teams utilizing collaboration and relationship management skills Travel Travel: * Minimal travel required State Street Global Advisors North Quincy MA
