One of Cordia's many exciting clients - a capitalized, fast-growth technology start-up based in Washington, DC - is adding an Corporate Financial Analyst to their growing finance/accounting team. Our client prefers a Financial Analyst who can directly contribute to key decisions as a trusted partner of the financial business. He/she will help analyze business relationships, build financial models, and report findings to the leadership team and other senior members of the organization. He/she will create and maintain detailed financial models that capture business dynamics and analyze and explain variances from expectations. These models will assist the leadership team in managing the company and will drive key business decisions. He/she will work on developing data driven models (across all company niches) that help the company know risks and opportunities, recommend changes that drive company improvement, and help push toward growth and profitability.

Corporate Financial Analyst
Here is what you'll do:
  • Develop complex models and create metrics for the business
  • Support monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate financial results
  • Drive and eventually help lead their budgeting process while collaborating with dept. heads
  • Deliver monthly financials, report on variances vs budget and forecast
  • Support CFO in any debt/equity raises, including forecasting, due diligence and drafting of pitch decks
  • Own and improve upon the companys operating and forecasting model to help guide long term decisions
  • Support ad-hoc tasks and various business projects using tools to improve processes and increase productivity
  • Deliver innovative, high value financial information that will allow the leadership team and board of directors to make strategic decisions
  • Ensure on-going communication and dialogue with key stakeholders across the business
Here is what we would like to see in the candidate:
  • Bachelors Degree (Accounting, Finance etc.)
  • 2+ years of financial analysis experience
  • Excellent analytical and project skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and habits
  • Good accounting backbone; understand debits and credits
  • Creative, proactive, and resourceful habits
  • Should be personable, team-minded and supportive in nature
  • Must be comfortable with working overtime and meeting deadlines
