Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

In office role in our Getzville office with 10-20% expected travel

The Commercial Bank Auditor with a focus on Health Care Real Estate Loans is responsible for performing collateral audits and identifying collateral risks and providing solutions. The Auditor will conduct and facilitate complex field examinations of borrowers and prospective borrowers financial records, with emphasis on validating that financial records represent sound accounting procedures. This function assists in the implementation of collateral control procedures, loan related performance metrics and assessment of clinical compliance. The candidate possesses business acumen, demonstrates creativity and interpersonal savvy, makes timely decisions, and has excellent presentation and time management skills.

The Work Itself

  • Performance of collateral exams ensuring productive performance, responsiveness to customer needs, and adherence to prescribed controls, policies, and procedures. Conduct audit report reviews.

  • Manage workload, assignments and scope via pre-loan meetings with the Head of Audit, as necessary.

  • Monitor timely completion and distribution of exams. Regularly visit and interact with field examiners working at borrower location to manage examination procedures and borrower needs.

  • Communicate and escalate significant exam findings / recommendations to the appropriate manager.

  • Manage tracking mechanism for communication, escalation, aging, and resolution of field exam exceptions.

  • Assist in establishing, modifying, and monitoring audit programs and reporting policies/procedures to help ensure compliance with credit policy.

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis in accounting or finance required

  • 0-3 years collateral audit experience in bank asset based lending or commercial finance environment or public accounting firm

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of asset based lending principles

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze financial metrics

  • Strong attention to detail
