What We Need:

We are looking for a Corporate Facilities Manager to join our HNI team in Muscatine, Iowa.

What You Will Do:

• Oversee the maintenance and monitoring of the corporation's multiple facilities, both domestic and international, including but not limited to all heating, ventilating, air conditioning, water, electric, and structural integrity to ensure efficient operation.

• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for facility-related needs including construction, remodeling, and repair projects.

• Obtain cost estimates and coordinate activities related to building renovations or space allocations and inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.

• Manage security standards to ensure protection of staff, facilities, and equipment. Assist in the role out and adoption of new security policies and procedures.

• Maintain property database and abstracts.

• Function as a liaison between city and state governments for facilities.

• Ensure facilities have proper housekeeping services such as janitorial, lawn and landscaping maintenance, snow and trash removal, and painting and minor repairs.

• May have supervisory responsibility involving staff including hiring new staff, conducting performance appraisals, training and development, etc.

• Review insurance company recommendation for each location and assist negotiations, if necessary, with insurance broker.

• Continue to implement and support best practices in all facilities that drive towards HNI's sustainability goals.

• Maintain and manage emergency response contacts.

What You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent professional experience

• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) certification or other related certifications preferred.

• 10+ years of facilities management experience; multi-facility experience preferred.

• Ability to manage priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with building components and materials and the ability to analyze building problems and implement appropriate corrective measures.

• Clear communication and ability to interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders and vendors; both in person and through written communication.
