Job Summary

Directs and supervises activities associated with the provision of services provided by Vascular services including the Vascular Center of Excellence, the Non-Invasive Vascular Lab and the CDL Lab. Activities include but not limited to the supervision of staff, day to day operations, financial operations and marketing.

Responsibilities

1.Effectively manage patient flow. 2.

Design, develop and operationalize services within Continuum of Care for targeted patient population to ensure customer outcomes. 3.

Assure alignment of support services for the customers of the group by: setting targets and expectations, identifying key team members, and coordinating the efforts of integration. 4. Processes to include registration of patients, proper procedures for telephone calls/messages, insurance verifications, scheduling of appointments and other duties. 5. Coordinate daily operation of department to include ordering supplies, forms, etc. 6.

Responsible for monitoring performance, communicating results, and ensuring compliance with budget. 7. Promote and manage revenue enhancement and cost reduction in the managed practice. 8. Responsible for analyzing productivity and patient flow, identifying system barriers, and making corrections to achieve maximum productivity. 9.

Participate in establishing policies and procedures for the department. Develop procedures and controls to promote communication and information flow (goals, financials, etc.). 10. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, & local laws. 11.

Oversee employee selection, hiring, training, performance management, employee relations, discipline and termination. 12. Address customer service issues. 13. Monitor patient satisfaction of the department and develop plans to improve satisfaction. 14.

Provide payment arrangements when applicable for all accounts. 15. Responsible for first line of communications between Administration and Physicians. 16. Work closely with physicians in evaluating their services and performance, making recommendations as appropriate. 17.

Responsible for scheduling all staff, maintaining time for staff and physicians and maintaining administrative and personnel files. 18. Act as a mentor to the Department Staff to provide assistance in training, communications, procedures, etc.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact) The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.

Competency Statement Must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist. Common Duties and Responsibilities (Essential duties common to all positions) 1. Maintain and document all applicable required education. 2.

Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations. 3. Comply with the company's attendance policy. 4. Participate in the continuous, quality improvement activities of the department and institution. 5.

Perform work in a cost effective manner. 6. Perform work in accordance with all departmental pay practices and scheduling policies, including but not limited to, overtime, various shift work, and on-call situations. 7. Perform work in alignment with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization. 8.

Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable. 9.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required) Education: Requires one of the following:

    Bachelor's Degree Nursing, Master's Nurse Practitioner, Master's Physician Assistant, or Bachelor's Degree/Formalized Training in Radiologic Technology Experience: 5-7 years of experience Comment: Acceptable Education may be limited based on needs of the organization at the time vacancy occurs and position is posted.
