The Corporate Development & Strategy Investment Consultant will lead project planning and the development of project plans for initiatives monitoring project status, identifying dependencies, and risks/mitigations that impact ability to meet required timelines and deliverables.

In this role you will be accountable for the relationship management in support of new business initiatives, mergers/acquisitions, strategic investments and other strategic level business projects. You will also actively participate in due diligence work associated with CDSI initiatives, develop creative PowerPoint presentations, professionally written "White papers" for communications to leadership, and deliver high quality and accurate deliverables within constrained time frames.

Essential Functions

  • Understand the value drivers, goals and objectives of assigned projects, alignment with business strategy and detail project scope with high level requirements and participants.

  • Work with internal and external resources to provide consultative and subject matter expertise and project management leadership for strategic projects including the preparation of new business models and strategic investments, implementation of business ventures, and business consulting projects

  • Track key milestones and project plan status, consultant budget requests and/or resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and adhere to quality work product standards and customer expectations.

  • Influence and assist functional business partners to drive required deliverables aligned to CDSI initiatives.

  • Identify and build project plans detailing required deliverables necessary to fulfill requirements of defined business plan; conduct research and analysis in support of potential business opportunities; identify when changes are needed to a project plan, and communicate and champion those changes with internal and external team members

  • Manage and produce information, documentation, analyses, assessments, and business models/depictions as part of the development of business plans and strategic investment projects

  • Create Senior Level presentations, and review and edit documents from CDSI team and external partners for content and relevance along with other details, such as formats and grammar. Ensure documents (which included Board, Finance Committee and other project materials) are designed for communications to Senior Leaders and Board members.

  • Coordinate meetings and updates with internal resources and third parties/consultants for integrated execution projects; manage all documentation related to the project; and facilitate and document meeting outcomes/next steps and lessons learned.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field

  • At least 6 years professional-level experience working in a business unit or strategic consulting firm

  • Business planning and project management skills specific to Business and Corporate Development projects

  • Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and proficient with other Microsoft applications

  • Ability to work with and across various groups and levels of management within the organization

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint

  • Strong business acumen and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Effective relationship management and conflict resolution skills

  • Results-oriented with strong problem solving and decision-making

  • Effective written and verbal communication, editing, and presentation development skills
