About the role:

Our team is looking for an associate who is both a strategic thinker and practical problem solver.

Someone who has the curiosity to learn about and shape the future of a critical industry that is at

the cusp of being transformed. You will work on projects that move the needle for the company and

our customers. This will be a highly challenging role that will require you to stretch yourself and

accomplish aggressive goals. You will be joined by other talented and driven teammates who will

support you at every stage of your growth. You will also have the opportunity to develop your

leadership style, leveraging your own passions, strengths, and personal values.

In this role, you will cover a variety of areas:

  • Strategy Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to formulate long-term

strategic priorities and plans related to organic and inorganic growth, research emerging

industry trends and competitive dynamics, and internal business performance

improvement

  • Product Strategy: Help quantify product value propositions through tools like TCO

Calculators, Energy Savings Calculators, and determine the optimal product

strategy for the company to pursue

  • GTM Strategy: Conduct research across various facets of the GTM motion,

including Geography, Demographics, Market Sizing etc

  • Strategy Implementation: Support the organization to implement strategic initiatives,

collect feedback, and iterate on plans based on the developed strategies that have been

laid out

  • Research and Analysis: Perform strategic and business analysis with limited resources.

Synthesize complex information into clear takeaways using both qualitative and

quantitative methods. Get to high quality answers quickly and add additional resolution as

needed

  • Fundraising: Support fundraising activities by creating investor materials and responding

to time-sensitive investor diligence requests. Prepare the company for subsequent capital

raises, including a potential public listing

  • Investor Relations: Keep investors up to date on company performance and engage with

investor ecosystem to evangelize Monarch's story

  • Financial Modeling: Build or update financial models in support of business activities

while working with FP&A and business stakeholders

  • Corporate Development: Identify and assess M&A targets for acquisition. Work with

internal and external stakeholders on deal execution.

Ideal Candidate would have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience at a consulting firm, corporate strategy team,

investment bank, PE or VC firm

  • Strong analytical and financial abilities to work on complex business issues with minimum

supervision

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills to work with and influence key

internal and external stakeholders

  • Knowledge of High-tech, Automotive, Energy, or Agriculture industries are a plus, with

demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly in new areas

  • Ability to excel in all areas of strategy development, including project management,

business analysis, problem solving, verbal and written communication, consensus building

  • Experience building financial models on Excel and developing high-quality presentations on

PowerPoint

  • Flexibility and grit- Able to handle the uncertainty and the fast pace in a rapidly evolving

startup environment, which will require time and dedication

  • Highly collaborative and learning focused mentality - be easy to work with and excited to

learn!
