How will you make an impact?

  • Responsible for operational implementation, reporting and maintenance/enhancement of Credit Risk Transfer "risk on" and primary MI and non-primary "risk off" programs.

  • Participates in the go-forward enhancement and development of "risk on" and 'risk off" programs.

  • Leads cross-functional business groups and engages appropriate key resources from other business areas to ensure programs and executions are efficiently and effectively managed and meet corporate objectives.

  • Develops and analyzes information from various perspectives and formulates recommendations for applicable "risk on" and "risk off" activities.

  • Researches and provides information on external market, technical trends and government regulations/events that impact corporate "risk on" and 'risk off" activities.

  • Works with management to establish short and longterm "risk on" and "risk off" objectives and goals.

  • Identifies business opportunities and directs research to assess them and formulate recommendations to management. Analyzes and evaluates market opportunities and risks to ensure that products/programs created support the corporate strategy.

  • Responsible for mentoring and coaching cross functional business groups.

Do you have what it takes?

Education: Completion of Bachelor's Degree; Additional experience (2 years) beyond the minimum (below) may be substituted for education beyond an Associate Degree.

Experience: More than 10 years of comprehensive and related experience in the financial services and/or insurance industry.

Required Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage insurance, credit insurance, secondary marketing, and related activities

  • Corporate strategic direction, products, technologies, business practices, covering "risk on" opportunities and "risk off" alternatives

  • Mortgage/credit industry trends and emerging initiatives

  • Sales and marketing strategies and techniques

  • Operational aptitude, financial analysis, calculations and concepts, statistical abilities, MS Office Suite Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Required Skills:

  • Project management and execution thereof

  • Development and implementation of medium to large-scale systems

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Business acumen

About the team The FIS Digital Payment Fraud Team offers its clients years of industry knowledge and expertise to detect and prevent fraud within our Digital Payments products including consumer payment products such as BillPay and Zelle as well as Business E-Banking. Our analysts use industry-leading detection tools to monitor and investigate suspicious activity with 24 x 7 coverage for almost 2,000 banks and credit unions and over 300 million transactions annually. Despite the growing threat of fraud and account take over in these products across the industry, this team has been able to maintain extremely low losses for its clients and FIS. What you will be doing You will be working with internal groups such as IT and outside entities such as financial institutions and other clients in the analysis and identification of fraud trends, review of high-risk transactions and implementation of policies to deter and prevent fraudulent activity. * Conducts research and analytics to identify possible threats and minimize exposure to financial loss. * Implements new tools and processes to become more proactive and effective in risk appreciation and treatment. * Develops central risk scenarios and prepares reports of risk analysis progress and results including information on trends and risk factors. * Oversees policies, programs and other company-wide efforts designed to prevent, detect, identify and resolve fraudulent activity by customers, potential customers and outside agents. * Assists management with development and implementation of financial strategies and plans that minimize financial risk and provide maximum protection to organizational assets. * Reviews high risk transactions and performs research to identify fraudulent versus legitimate consumer activity. * Consults with clients on best practices, processes and procedures to prevent financial losses from fraud; answers incoming client inquiries. * Applies specialized professional knowledge and techniques gained through study to develop appropriate solutions to analytical, commercial, operational, process or technological problems. * Fact-gathering liaison with other FIS functions, as well outside merchants and law enforcement authorities.
