Corporate Development Manager

Join a high-impact team focused on advancing JM Family's growth through strategic investments and acquisitions across various industries, with a current emphasis on financial and business services. The Corporate Development Manager position offers direct exposure to top executives and a track record of robust transactional activity since 2019.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive market research to guide JM Family's entry into new industries for potential investments or acquisitions

• Foster a proprietary deal pipeline through networking, industry events, and banking relations

• Develop financial (including LBOs) models and due diligence for M&A initiatives

• Create materials for investment committee and Board meetings

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including internal stakeholders and third-party advisors to ensure seamless transaction execution and integration

• Support departmental objectives and projects, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and continuous improvement

• Engage in high-level financial and strategic operations

• Support M&A processes from conception to completion

• Interface with organizational leaders to drive internal growth opportunities

Qualifications:

• Essential Experience: Must have prior M&A transaction experience and be familiar with legal documentation

• Experience: At least 7 years in investment banking, consulting, corporate development, or private equity

• Education: Bachelor's degree

• Travel: The position requires occasional travel, comprising approximately 15-20% of work time

• Location: Willingness to work in a hybrid environment and relocate to Deerfield Beach, FL / South Florida area if necessary

• Analytical Skills: Capable of conducting error-free quantitative and qualitative analyses and proficient in various financial models

• M&A Knowledge: Well-versed in all M&A deal stages, from business development to negotiation

• Financial Expertise: Robust accounting background and fluency in cash-flow valuation models

• Learning & Adaptability: Quick learner, able to integrate into new teams and handle multiple projects under pressure

• Teamwork & Impact: Collaborative team member willingness to contribute to organizational growth

• Professionalism: High integrity, impressive judgment, and a good sense of humor

• Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills
