Corporate Development Intern

This is a compensated internship and will run through the summer 2024

Corporate Development INTERN:

• Researches and analyzes industries, market segments, and business models. Evaluates the merits of alternatives and presents findings to management.

• Analyzes companies, including their products, market positions and competitive positions.

• Evaluates potential corporate development opportunities (e.g. by providing strategic due diligence, financial statement analyses, financial modeling, and returns analyses) and monitors existing strategic initiatives.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP Roles and Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities of a Corporate Development Summer Intern vary and may include but are not limited to:

• Developing and maintaining financial models.

• Performing various financial analyses, including valuations.

• Conducting comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research.

• Preparing presentations and other materials.

• Participating in all aspects of the M&A transaction process.

Position Requirements:

We are looking for highly resourceful and analytical undergraduate college students with the following attributes:

• GPA Requirement: 3.5.

• Intellectually curious with a passion for learning.

• Self-starter with strong organization and time management skills.

• Analytical and creative thinker.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Ambitious and capable of working in small teams.

• Experience with Microsoft Office tools --- Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

• Undergraduate business major candidates - Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration.

• An interest in technology.

Preferred candidates will also have the following:

• Fundamental understanding of 3-way financial statements, financial modeling, and enterprise valuation methodologies.

• Basic knowledge of mergers and acquisition transactions.

• Career interests in one or more of the following: corporate development, investment banking, private equity, management consultant, entrepreneurship, public accounting.

• Rising seniors or graduating seniors planning to directly enter a Master's program.
