Plymouth Tube is looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious team member to join our Finance and Accounting Department. This person must love change, be self-motivated and inspire others inside and outside the department. This individual should be able to communicate directly and openly with all levels in our organization. There will be many opportunities for the successful candidate to engage their innovative and creative problem-solving skills to help move the department to the next level. It is a must that the Corporate Controller has a high degree of personal integrity in dealing with superiors, subordinates and co-workers and will represent Plymouth Tube Company in a professional manner. The successful candidate will live in both the big picture as well as in the details, desire to make an impact, and work well on a team and individually.

YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Being a self-motivated individual who inspires others both within and outside the finance department. They must effectively communicate with various organizational levels and lead the Finance team in preparing financial statements, overseeing audits, and ensuring tax compliance. Additionally, their role involves maintaining personal integrity in all interactions and representing the organization professionally.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Lead the accounting team in corporate accounting functions, financial reporting, cash management, and shareholder communication.

  • Ensure tax compliance in collaboration with third-party professionals.

  • Assist CFO in insurance coverage evaluation for risk management.

  • Provide necessary financial and operating information to the organization.

  • Analyze consolidated financial results of domestic and international divisions.

  • Manage bank relationships and cash projections.

  • Recommend and implement cost reduction programs.

  • Maintain internal controls and lead special projects, including M&A due diligence.

  • Address shareholder issues promptly and effectively.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution with a minimum of ten years of related experience.

  • CPA certification required; MBA preferred.

  • Background in manufacturing or audit experience is beneficial.

  • Previous supervisory experience necessary.

  • Familiarity with corporate accounting for multiple entities and Sub-Chapter S Tax work is advantageous.

Technology Skills:

  • Proficiency in advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.

  • Desired skills in Microsoft Access and experience with Power BI.

  • Knowledge of ERP/financial application implementation in a manufacturing setting is beneficial.

Language Skills:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Travel Requirement:

  • Approximately 15% travel to US locations
