We are seeking a Corporate Controller to join the corporate accounting team at our Greystone New York City office.
The primary responsibilities and qualifications include: Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Advise the CFO and other senior leaders on key management and operational matters to achieve targeted results while managing risks.
Lead and manage an accounting team including actively participating in their personal and career development. Oversee the monthly accounting close cycle of numerous legal entities and parent-level consolidations, including obtaining and evaluating information from equity method investments not controlled by Greystone. Work with the financial reporting team and other internal stakeholders on facilitating the annual audits, internally prepared quarterly compliance reporting, and annual audited financial statements.
Collaborate with others, both internally and externally, on the funding and repayment of loans, investments, and other significant transactions. Provide internal management reporting and communication of financial information to business leads, senior management, and other departments. Collaborate with the corporate cash management team in monitoring cash resources, forecasting cash inflows and outflows, and assessing working capital needs.
Review, develop, and update department operational processes, identifying areas to use offshore/outsource resources and ensuring controls remain effective. Analyze current and forecasted business operations with comparisons to budget. Assist the financial planning and analysis team in preparing and revising budget models.
Manage outside lending/equity relationships and periodic reporting requirements. Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required: 15 years of corporate or public accounting experience with a minimum of 10 years experience in a corporate accounting management role. Accounting degree and CPA certification required.
Working knowledge with GAAP accounting standards including CECL, VIEs and Consolidations, and Business Combinations. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Must have strong work ethic and leadership skills.
Proactive in identifying and resolving issues. Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills. Must be detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking.

Greystone is an EEO employer. Greystone offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $225,000/year.
The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the annual review process.
